Kandice Swarthout, RDH, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Registered Dental Hygienist. With a passion for education and a commitment to improving healthcare, Kandice dedicates her career to teaching and mentoring. As a full-time dental hygiene educator in Texas, she prepares the next generation of dental professionals with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed. Kandice is the visionary behind Inspired Education & Wellness, a continuing education (CE) company that she owns and operates. Through this platform, she wears many hats as a speaker, writer, therapist, and co-owner of the Muffins & Mimosas Dental Study Club. Her unique blend of clinical dental and mental health expertise enables her to provide invaluable insights to healthcare professionals, helping them understand and address the profound impacts of trauma and human trafficking on their patients. Kandice is an approved provider under Texas Health and Human Services, offering specialized human trafficking training for healthcare professionals. This crucial training equips providers with the tools and knowledge to identify and support victims of trafficking, ensuring a compassionate and informed response. Additionally, Kandice spearheads an event called Reclaim Smiles, which provides essential dental care to survivors of human trafficking, helping them restore their oral health and confidence.
